The Inclusive School and Special Education Unit of CHILD CONCERN INSTITUTE, Patna, under the name Samarpan Special School, is a comprehensive centre dedicated to children with intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, and multiple disabilities. With a mission to foster holistic development and inclusion, the centre offers structured and individualized educational, therapeutic, and vocational support using both formal and non-formal methods, tailored to each child’s needs.

Education Structure & Services Offered:

Early Education & Intervention Centre (0–6 Years):

Specialized early stimulation, therapy, and parent training programs aimed at maximizing developmental potential during the crucial early years.

Inclusive Special Education (6–18 Years):

Children are enrolled from Class 01 to Class 08, in an inclusive classroom setting using functional academics and life skill-based curriculum, in line with National Education Policy and inclusive practices.

Modern Assessment and Curriculum Tools:
• Use of FACP (Functional Assessment Checklist for Programming) for individual educational planning
• Use of MDPS (Madras Developmental Programming System) to monitor learning goals
• Integration of non-formal, activity-based learning approaches for enhanced engagement
• Focus on ADL (Activities of Daily Living), social skills, pre-vocational skills, and behavior management
